Forget-me-not Dementia Support is a registered association which holds community get togethers at local run cafe's around WA.
What we're about:
Forget-Me-Not memory Café - dementia support, is a community led initiative that gives those living with memory loss, their carers and loved ones a supportive social network through the casual atmosphere of local cafe's throughout Western Australia. Each café event is held once a month, over 17 locations.

Our cafe's are held once a month at each cafe. start times vary for each, and all are welcome any time between attending hours. Stay for 5 minutes or the entire two hours; all are welcome!

A memory cafe is a group of locals, living with memory loss who catch up once a month to share a coffee and cake and enjoy a few casual hours with others who understand how life-changing a diagnosis can be.
not to worry! our cafes run for around 2 hours. Whether you turn up at opening, in the middle, or with 10 minutes to spare for a quick chat and a coffee, everyone is always welcome. While our times are set, this just means that between those two hours, one of our team will be in attendance.
Nope! Come to which ever cafe like, we'd love to see you, there's always a chair ready.
No. Our cafe's are community and volunteer run. This is not a respite service, and all attendees will require their carers on hand if they are under care.
No. FMN was created and is run by members of the community living with memory loss. FMN is run by a committee of 7 hard working individuals, who have been self-funding this initiative, with additional funding from Local Government Grants and donations helping to support their work.
Absolutely! All FMN donations go directly back into the FMN cafe community. Whether it be to help maintain running and printing costs, helping pay for coffees and cakes for attendees, or buying activities. 100% of all donations and grants go toward our cafes.
My goodness...yes please! Every cafe is headed by it's own champion. Unfortunately, a lot of our cafe's have yet to fill this position, which means the lovely committee ladies can be run ragged attending every cafe. If you'd like to become a Champion, or think you have something you'd like to bring to our team, please don't hesitate to reach out to us!
